Our team at Oakwood Dental is deeply concerned for the health and well-being of our patients, our staff and their families. On March 20th, Governor Polis signed and executive order to extend the temporary suspension for elective and non-essential procedures. This includes all voluntary or elective surgeries or procedures, whether medical, dental or veterinary. The new executive order has extended our temporary closure through April 14th.

We will be available to our patients in need of emergency dental care as needed throughout this temporary closure.

Oakwood Dental
A Great Dentist

What can I expect at my first dental appointment?

woman getting dental check | oakwood dentalEvery patient is different, so when you call our office, our knowledgeable team will ask some questions regarding your oral health that will help us maximize your first dental visit.

Our ideal approach at Oakwood Dental is to get you started with Dr. Jones for a full exam so that we can identify any oral conditions that may require your attention. This provides you with an opportunity to discuss anything about your oral health that causes concern or has recently changed. This also and gives you the time you need to discuss your goals for your oral health.

First Dental Exam

We also know that most patients want to have their teeth cleaned at their first dental exam. We do our best to accommodate our patients and schedule a dental cleaning along with your exam. It is important to remember that if it has been a while since your last dental appointment and you have some catching up to do, it could take more than one appointment. We will help you get back on track to good oral health!

Safe Dental X-Rays

Taking x-rays is also part of our new patient appointment. X-rays are a useful diagnostic tool to identify oral conditions such as decay or bone loss. We use ultra-safe digital x-rays at our Castle Rock dental office.
