What happens if I miss an appointment?
At Oakwood Dental, we strive to provide excellent dental care to all of our patients. Our goal is to create a schedule that most efficiently provides for the dental needs of all of the patients we serve. We pride ourselves in providing time for the personal attention each patient deserves, and make every effort to keep you from waiting. As a result, your appointment time in this office is reserved exclusively for you.
How to Reschedule An Appointment
We require that you give our office at least a 24-hour notice in the event that you need to reschedule your appointment. Our policy helps us be available for those patients who may have a dental emergency. If you miss an appointment without contacting our office within the required time, this is considered a “no show” or a missed appointment. “No Shows” inconvenience other patients who need access to dental care in a timely manner. Last minute/late cancellations are considered a “no-show” appointment and a fee of $50 per hour scheduled may be charged to you. This fee cannot be billed to your insurance company and will be your direct responsibility.
If a patient is more than 15 minutes late without notice for a scheduled appointment, please be aware that the appointment may need to be rescheduled. Late arrivals cause schedule delays for those patients who arrive promptly at their appointment time. Late arrivals will be worked into the schedule if time allows or re-appointed to another day. Our office will consider a late arrival or a missed appointment on a case by case scenario, and the cancellation fee may be charged.
