When you have crooked or misaligned teeth, it can affect the way you see yourself, harming your self-esteem and confidence. People who are embarrassed by their smile may be less likely to laugh and smile and may avoid social interactions altogether, and with that attitude, they just won’t enjoy life as much they should. With Invisalign clear braces, you can straighten your teeth, improving your smile so that you want to share it with everyone!

What Can Invisalign Fix?

Invisalign is a popular treatment option for teeth straightening. The aligners are removable and practically invisible, making them discreet, easy to clean, and comfortable. Invisalign braces can correct a wide variety of issues with your teeth.

Some issues Invisalign can correct include:

  • Overbites
  • Underbites
  • Crooked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Crossbite
  • Crowded teeth

If you are suffering from any of the above dental issues and want to straighten your smile, you should schedule a consultation with Dr. Brandt Jones or Dr. Michael Zendig today. Invisalign may be a great option for straightening your smile! At Oakwood Dental, we are experienced in helping patients achieve straighter smiles using Invisalign, and we would be happy to help you!

What Is Invisalign Unable to Fix?

For some dental issues, you may want to consider another form of treatment over Invisalign. For example, Invisalign may not be appropriate for more severe bite misalignment cases, which may need to shift significantly to become straight, or for very large gaps between teeth. Your dentist may recommend traditional braces or another orthodontic option in those situations.

Invisalign also cannot change aspects of your smile like your tooth shape, and Invisalign aligners are not recommended for treating intrusion (not erupted enough) or extrusion (over-eruption) of your teeth.

If you have an issue that Invisalign aligners are not appropriate for, Dr. Jones or Dr. Zendig will discuss alternative treatment options with you after an evaluation.
