Finding an experienced dentist in Castle Rock, CO who successfully places dental crowns is a great way to boost your confidence. It is simple; when your teeth look better, you feel better. A dental crown not only enhances your smile, but it also benefits your oral health.

Apart from enhancing your smile, you need a dental crown if your tooth is:

  • Fractured
  • Worn
  • Cracked
  • Deeply decayed
  • Weakened by a root canal

We may also recommend a dental crown to restore or correct your bite.

What Is a Dental Crown?

A dental crown is ceramic, porcelain, or a porcelain-zirconia blended preparation that covers your tooth above the gum line. A dental crown looks and functions like a real tooth.
At Oakwood Dental our crowns are custom made, and we rely on state-of-the-art materials to give you a beautiful smile and the most durable crown available today.

How Is a Dental Crown Placed?

Before we place your dental crown, we will make sure you are relaxed and comfortable. Following this, we will remove the damaged parts of the tooth and prepare it for the crown.
No gooey trays! Instead, we take a digital impression of your tooth that is far more accurate. This impression is transferred to our CEREC software and then to our CEREC milling machine. Here your dental crown is created from durable ceramic. This all happens in our office!

We make final adjustments, which include fit, shading, enhancements to make the crown more lifelike. Then one of our dentists permanently cements the crown to your prepared tooth.
One of our experienced dentists will give you aftercare instructions following your dental crown placement.

Crowns and bridges are a great way to enhance your smile and protect your teeth. If you are considering these treatments in Castle Rock, CO, contact us to set up your appointment today.
