Dental Crowns and Bridges Castle Rock, CO
Our teeth have a tough job to do, and while they are strong, they are not indestructible.
It is no surprise that occasionally we sustain damage to our teeth that requires a repair or replacement. Factors that can affect the function of your teeth include your oral health habits, your bite, and your lifestyle. When your teeth require a restoration to protect or replace them, we are here to help.
At Oakwood Dental, our dentists Dr. Brandt Jones and Dr. Leah McQuigg create dental restorations that look great, fit comfortably, and last a long time.
When You Need a Dental Crown
Dental crowns are a type of dental restoration that covers the structure of your tooth above the gumline. Like a helmet, your dental crown will absorb force and protect the underlying tooth and nerve.
Instances where a crown might be an appropriate treatment for your tooth include damage such as a fracture, crack, or deep decay. We may also recommend a dental crown to rebuild a severely worn tooth, protect a tooth that has had root canal treatment, or restore your bite.
Each of our dental crowns is a custom creation designed to fit your tooth perfectly and complement your smile. Dental crowns come in a variety of materials such as zirconia, porcelain-and-zirconia blends, and full porcelain. We use state-of-the-art materials with unequaled durability and beauty.
We offer CEREC same-day restorations in our office. Our patients love being able to complete their treatment in one dental visit.
Dental Crown Treatment
One of the things our patients always tell us is that they appreciate how gentle our dentists are. Your comfort is always a top priority for us, so before we begin your dental crown treatment, we will make sure you are completely comfortable.
We will remove any damaged tooth structure and then prepare your tooth for your dental crown. We use digital impressions in our Castle Rock dental office, so you don’t have to worry about gooey trays.
Your data transfers to our CEREC software, where a digital version of your dental restoration is created. We then send your digital data to our in-office CEREC milling machine, where your custom dental crown is fabricated out of a single piece of durable ceramic.
Our dentists make the final adjustments and the artistic touches, such as shading, to give you a lifelike dental crown, which they will permanently cement to your tooth.
Fixed Dental Bridges
Removing a tooth is always a last resort, but it is sometimes unavoidable. If this happens, we will provide you with tooth-replacement options that support your health and lifestyle.
A dental bridge requires a crown on each of your teeth adjacent to your missing tooth. Those crowns will hold an artificial tooth in place, filling the gap in your smile. A dental bridge will keep your remaining teeth from shifting and give you confidence in your appearance.
As with our CEREC dental crowns, we can often complete treatment in one appointment, resulting in an immediate solution to protect your appearance and your oral health.
